Introducing Our New Online Course

Welcome to The Celtic Center’s new Celtic Christian Course

Please allow me a bit of an announcement in this blog post instead of my normal musings.

I’m quite excited to announce that The Celtic Center is beginning online classes tomorrow (June 1). The pandemic has reached deep into all of our lives and asked us to change our orientation to schedules, plans, relationships, and care for one another. To be responsible toward the safety and care of each other, we have cancelled our onsite retreats as well as the pilgrimage for 2020. That was a very disappointing decision indeed, but it has put us in a place of being creative and inventing Celtic education and spiritual growth experiences in a way that fits our modern circumstance and possibilities.

We have moved all three of our yearly retreats online and we now call these retreats “classes”. Each class will consist of two lessons.

The first class will be available online today (June 1), the second class on July 1, and the third available on August 1. Today’s roll out will be the content of our “Celtic Soul” class which is an overview of Celtic Christian spirituality as well as a deeper look at the Celtic perspective of knowing and experiencing God through all of Creation. Celtic Christians have long celebrated the experience of relationship with the Great Spirit through a reverence of Nature and their view of the Christian journey as wonderfully inclusive, experiential, and relational. I hope you’ll consider joining us for the first two lessons this month. Those who join will also be invited to a live discussion with me about these life-giving ideas at the end of the month, as well as gain access to an exclusive Facebook group for course members.

Our new Celtic Center “Course” is called “The Celtic Christian Perspective and Practice”, and here are the three classes and lessons.

Celtic Soul
Soul Design: The Celtic Christian Perspective
Nature: God’s Presence and Participation

Celtic Way
Imagination: Story and Art as Divine Dance
Practice: Participating in Divine Relationship over a Lifetime

Celtic Calling
Relational Responsibility: Caring for Others and Nature
Through the Mist: Encountering God through Text, Nature, and Relationship

You are invited to take part in any or all of the classes. You may purchase the lessons individually or you make purchase the entire course for a discounted rate. Here’s a link to explore all of these options:
Take me to the online course!

If the Celtic perspective has captured your imagination, and if a spiritual growth journey that is not about correct beliefs and far more about experiencing the Great Mystery who is God, then I hope to see you at one or all of our classes and discussions.

May we all find a beautiful way along this Divine journey called Life.
